1. hbo because it has a lot more movies and dramas

  2. If you have both HBO and Cinemax you are wasting your money. HBO is owned by the same company that owns Cinemax, and most of the movies that end up on the Cinemax channels are second-run movies that have just been taken out of rotation from the HBO channels. Pay attention to it and you will see that what I'm saying is true. If I were you I would drop Cinemax. Showtime is ok, sometimes a little better than Starz but not as good as HBO.

Honestly though, unless you're a hardcore cable TV fan who watches these premium channels all the time I would recommend getting rid of all of them and just Netflix the movies that you really want to see. The series and specials that they have on HBO, Showtime, and Starz nowadays are nowhere near as good as the ones they used to have a few years ago, and you're not really getting good value for your money because although they try to make it look like you're getting a whole bunch of premium channels, they really only show a handful of new movies each month and they are repeating each movie far more frequently on each tier than they used to. Besides, you'd be saving hundreds of dollars in cable fees each year.

Netflix is much better because you can get all the movies you want from one source, the DVDs come in the mail within a day or two, and even their unlimited DVD package is still much cheaper than paying for HBO, Showtime, and Starz.

  3. I used to like HBO, but now I like Showtime the best. HBO is still good, so I'd get rid of Cinemax by process of elimination.
