Wrong, its in Dongguan, China.

Opened in 2005 the South China Mall is 9.6 million square feet, the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta is only 5.3 mil.

The website that link went to said it is the "Greatest indoor show on earth", which is an opinion and therefore not arguable.  It did not say "The largest mall in the world".

Also, when the site was made it might have been, but it isn't any more.  

It is the largest mall in NORTH AMERICA, but every where I go it says china has 2 recently opened malls that are bigger.

this question needs clarification is it biggest in terms of size,

no of shoppers, no of items stocked, value of transactions?

If it is by value it would be the Amazon.com
