  1. I like crocheting because it goes faster for me.  I don't knit any more, just crochet, but I love the way knitting looks.

  2. Depends I then individual...for me it is knitting

  3. I find that crocheting is easier and faster than knitting.  I like to do both.

  4. they can both be a little tricky for a novice, but they are both enjoyable. I like crocheting, it is faster. But  I like the many versions of knitting out there too... You may want to take a class or two at a local yarn or hobby shop, arts and crafts type o'store and see what you like best. Some community colleges offer adult education courses and have knitting and crocheting classes as well. enjoy!

  5. i guess crocheting is tough as

honestly telling i don't know how to do it.

    whereas knitting is very simple...

  6. I learned crocheting first, so it's easier for me, but my vote is for crochet for a couple of other reasons.  It is too easy to drop stitches knitting, but crocheting is one stitch at a time, and you can unravel back to where you messed up and just go right back to the project.  It also goes much faster then knitting.  You can stop anywhere while you're crocheting and it is no problem to hop back in, but it's weird for me to stop in the middle of a knit row.

  7. Weird, I find knitting a little harder because it takes 2 hands.  I can whip out crocheting very quickly, but I've also known how to do it longer.  I wish I was better at knitting.

  8. It depends! But for me Crocheting is much easier. It only takes one hand and I have memorized so many stitches, because with crochet they are so easy to learn and remember. A few years back I decided to learn to pick up crochet again when my little ones would no longer let me sew. Soon after I decided to learn knitting, I hated it, it was hard to learn, it hurt my hands no matter what needles I used and it was slow so there was no light at the end of the tunnel either. Now I am a crocheting fool, with lots of crochet skill, as far as knitting I bought a Knifty knitter loom set and that's the only way I knit. LOL

    My advice is try both!

  9. I think it has to do with whichever you learned first and have the most experience with. I learned knitting at age 11 and most of my family knits. Therefore, it is "my first love", although I do crochet well enough, I don't like the look of the finished work as well.

  10. I do both equally well, and equally fast.  When my grand daughter wanted to learn -- I sent her to knitting first.  Felt it would be easier to learn from scratch.
