  1. That's a good question. Some politicians believe that if they nominate a woman for anything, then every woman will fall in line and either agree or vote for that woman.

I guess these men will never learn.

  2. Why don't you like smart, strong women?  Do you feel inferior, dear?

  3. McCain and Palin - that's even worse than Bush/Quayle!!

  4. Whew....tough call.  But I gotta say Palin.  At least Myers wasn't a step away from the presidency.

  5. Its exactly the same !!  And as the backlash against Harriet Myers grew,,Bush abandoned her,,and I think she was coerced though it never was known to be so,,to withdraw from the nomination..It proves the Bush and McCain's the same politics.. This ploy will backfire on McCain,,and will cost him the CHANCE to even win !! This is a futile attempt to pull the woman vote,,and the Hillary women's loyalty vote.. This is a gimmick,,and when you look at the state of our Beloved America,, ANY thinking voter,, will reject four more years of the same as the last eight..Today the rich and big business are filthy rich,,and the problem is it was at the expense of the working class Americans!! 6. McCain's nomination of Palin is genius.

The buzz is huge. Breaking some august internet traffic records.

It's energizing his base. If blogs/forums are any indication, Hillary supporters are very excited.

The bias media is in a panic to tear her down on lack of experience. And the funniest part of all of it is She's only running for VICE, Obama is running for PRES, but she HAS MORE EXPERIENCE than Obama.

  7. Oh my, my ... ProfessorL is back -and back with insightful considerations ....

Dang, you really ticked off one of your respondents who questioned -in the most dripping of condescending tones- whether a "strong woman" was a bit much for your liking.  Hmmm, Sarah Palin is brought out from the Alaskan wilderness about 12 hours ago and we have some folks elevating her to "strong woman" status.  I guess it's those Vogue pics ... you know how powerful images [especially the photoshop variety] can make the unknown known and the meek strong.

As another respondent aptly noted, Myers was not a heartbeat away from running the country ... Palin would be (can't you just see the Alaskan wildlife tonight?  Calling for an impromptu meeting to get a formidable coalition together in time for the RNC next week so they have a "voice" in saving their own hides just in case McCain/Palin happens to catch on).

Now with the wacko election season officially grounded, please come back and post frequently, ProfessorL

  8. Obama's nomination of Joe "Chrome Dome" Biden whose head can blind astronauts on the moon!
