Which is worse? Why?

The contract the Pistons gave to Kwame($8,000,000 in 2 years I think) or the contract Mark Cuban gave to Diop ($31,000,000 in 6 years)?

What kind of impact can there 2 bring to their teams?

Personally, I like Diop's defense but don't you think Cuban got a little too desperate?

Me too, for a guy who basically just rebounds and blocks, he is waaay overpaid. Kwame was overpaid too, but with that great defense around him and in the weak east he could turn into a decent backup.

Kawme Brown is not that bad. I think he is earning the right amount. He is in the nba so he cannot be that bad. Diop is paid perfectly. Personally i think they are not overpaid.

Diop's easily, but not because of skill level.  Kwame Brown only has a 2 year deal.  The Pistons will most likely let him walk after 2009-10.

Dallas is stuck with Diop for 6 years.  Even with his solid defense, no one is going to take that contract.

The signing of Desagana Diop is much worse than that of Pistons signing Kwame Brown. I agree. Cuban got desperate. Heck! I think Kwame Brown is better than Diop! They're just the same players who does their damage with their big body and on the defensive end. Though Diop may be better offensively than Kwame, I like Kwame better in terms of handling his man. Cuban overspent for his guy. He could've signed another player instead of him. Don't get me wrong, I like Diop. But I wouldn't pay him that much amount of money.

kwame brown trade is worse

Because Diop is not reliable on offense, he does bring alot of defense to the field. Even duncan stated he gets afraid when diop guards him. Mark cuban is desparate for center but think about there's like no centers that up for offers. Dampier is on his 13th year in the nba as a veteran. Right now mavericks have no choice but diop as their center.

Mark cuban did the right choice.
