  1. They're both pretty bad. Each of them uses heat to style your hair, and heat isn't good for your hair at all. You can prevent the damage done by finding a nice heat protectant spray, though.

  2. they are both as bad as each other as it is using heat

  3. Well it depends how you do it, I curl and straighten my hair with a GHD straightener. Which means that curling it is worse for my hair because you have to wrap and pull the hair around the straightener to curl it, which tends to place more strain on the hair than when you just straighten it.

But if you are using a curler it is better, and if you are straightening with an actual iron, it is much worse.

the heat has the same effect, but the method is where you will find the difference.

  4. i think they're about the same.

it depends on how hard your hair is to straighten or curl.

i don't know if this is just with my hair but i straighten it alot...3 or 4 times a week and i don't get any split ends

  5. Both.

  6. I find straightening worse it gives me a whole load of split ends

  7. both

  8. They are both damaging equally-- it's still heat.

  9. botht the same!

  10. I think straightening is worse.  You can put curlers in your hair and sleep with them and then take them out the next day and have curly hair.  But hair is for the most part straightened with heat or chemicals.

Though, personally, I think altering your hair's natural nexture is damaging in general.
