  1. PIPER, Boeing

  2. Boeing.

  3. Boeing

  4. Bombardier

  5. Boeing

It has been in service longer and I like the idea of the B787 they're about to create. Although their crash rates are higher than Airbus, that's because they have more aircraft and have been around much longer. Besides, most of their crash rates are by human error, now that's something you can't get rid of.

Airbus works with electronic wiring throughout their aircraft, Boeing is backed up by cable. One faulty wire and an Airbus can crash. But it also depends on maintanence.

McDonnell Douglas is part of Boeing, but their crash rate is due the faulty design itself. Look through its history, it ain't pretty. The reputation of MD is not the best around.

Overall, I'd rather fly with Boeing.

  6. MD

  7. Grumman IronWorks. No question.

Quality 'supplier' of used MiG, Mitsubishi and

    Sukhoi 'aircraft parts' worldwide.

And they did a pretty good job on the Lunar Module too.

  8. I've built hydraulic systems for Boeing and McDonnell Douglas--Manifolds and piston assemblies  for flaps, aileron, rudder etc. control. I like the design of the hydraulics in the Douglas planes best. Since they are probably nearly as important as the engines, and more important than anything else, I'd say it's a good reason to like a plane!

  9. I like Boeing because my dad worked there for a long time and I would go there and see the planes they were making and it is great there.

  10. Lockheed (only because I fly a Lockheed product right now), but I prefer Boeing over Airbus due to some of their philosophies of automation and computer control.

    B

  11. airbus
