  1. Wimbledon, because of the tradition, the faster and more attacking play that lends itself to the grass courts, and the atmosphere, which just seems so intimate.  The Centre Court only holds about 7,000 seats, so there really isn't a bad seat in the place, unlike at the U.S. Open, where Ashe stadium seats like 30,000, with the players looking like ants if you're in the upper sections.  But one thing I do appreciate is that all of the slams have their own unique charm and appeal. I just happen to prefer Wimbledon.

  2. Wimbledon. Because it's during a nice time during the year and my favourite surface to play on :)

  3. French open because Nadal is my favorite player and he does well on clay plus its the one slam that over the years the number one players haven't dominated like Ferderer and Sampras I mean how boring would it have been in the past few years if Ferderer won everything

  4. 1.  RG - Clay is fun to watch; Upsets and play development are fascinating on clay

    2.  Wimbledon - You can see the ball against the green grass when viewing on TV; players can dive for a ball and not get hurt; don't like rain delays; too soon after RG

    3.  Australian - Good time of year to watch TV;  Most prize money at stake

    4.  US Open - Attend in person but hate the time of year -- it's high vacation season on the east coast and hot/humid.

  5. 1.Roland Garros, hands down....for the drama and incredible type of play you only get to see on a clay court. Because of this surface ,this Grand Slam often gives us the chance to see the upsets of supposed favourites ( Williames,Sharapova, etcetc). It calls for a certain type of stamina and skill.Games at RG are like long drawn out battles of titans clashing.

I also love the passion of the French crowd at RG. Yes,I know that many here will accuse them of chauvinism but,I like to see a crowd live its sport and interact with the players.

Until this year, the weather at RG was usually superb too.

2.Wimbledon is fine but the ambience is a little too much like an exclusive garden party (though it's getting better). I also hate the fact that a supposed organisation like theirs hasn't realised that with a climate like England's,a moveable roof is a must. (I suspect that they do know this and in their typical Wimbledon way just sniff and say "to h**l with everybody! Let them get wet. ) I'm not really a fan of the "stop and start" style of tennis that is played on grass. I do appreciate though the sometimes almost balletic skills that players have to use. Wimbledon grows on you as the days go by. I always start by hating it and end up rooted to my chair and thinking it couldn't be any other way. So,yes, they must be doing something right.

3.U.S. Open is hard court tennis and I have a confessed allergy to that. The crowd is very noisy throughout but I do enjoy their passionate involvement with their own players. It was beautiful when Agazzi played.

4.The only trouble with the Australian Open(in my opinion) is the timing. It comes at a time of year when a lot of players aren't rested or rid of their injuries. Otherwise, great crowds, wonderful country, good weather (a bit too hot and sunny for long games, though)

  6. I like Wimbledon...but I LOVE the US Open. They play night matches and I think they're fun to watch.

  7. 1. WIMBY

    2.US

    3.Aussie

    4.French

i like Wimbledon because of the tradition.. the strawberries and cream..players wearing white dresses  and all that. And the surface is very unique....totally much of a class...

why french is on the bottom of my list is because of the crowd...

they are totally rude.. thay never really appreciate tennis...

they boo players for no reason....

  8. i love wimbledon n us.....french q boring!!!!!

  9. Wimbledon...most players find that its most prestigous and its usually most exciting to watch.

  10. US

  11. I used to play tennis when I was younger, and it was always Wimbledon that got me started, I think it's the best tournament by far.

now go and get some work done!!!!

  12. 1st:wimbeldon

    2nd:US

I like playing on hard court more than on clay.

  13. The Australian Open is the best.

The heat is just the probelm down in Melbourne during January.

But other than that, the Australian Open provides awsum matches and new talented player are born, like Marcos Baghdatis, Fernando Gonzalez and just recently Jo Wilfried Tsonga.

  14. wimbledon, its the ******* masters of tennis, the super bowl if you will, its wimbledon, good enough reason in itself.

  15. Wimbledon is my favourite Tennis Grand Slam,Good tradition and a awesome atmosphere there, plus i was born in London.
