  1. I like playing on all of them, and for different reasons.

Sand is great, it gives you a great work out, and their is less pressure on your knees.  The big problem with sand is the rash you get between your legs, the rain out's (it's usually an outdoors kinda thing, and I hate smelling like bug spray.

Hard court: Wood is great but tough on the knees and expensive to replace. Sport court is nice, and it adds to your vertical, you cannot slide on it as easily, and players seem to get injured on sport court alot more often than wood floors.

Grass, has alot of the same characteristics as sand only it's harder on your body. You get more vertical than in the sand, but injureis accur more often do to the fact the ground doesn't give in.

Try playing in mud, its real fun, and easy on the body, or if your a little crazy play in the snow, it's fun, and really cold, + you'll be alone so you should win easy!!!

  2. hard court...it's what i played on for the first time, and i got used to it. but i like sand

  3. 1. Sand

I just love the way it feels when you play on it!

  4. A hard court is my favourite.  A sprung wooden floor is good, as theres a bit of give in it for when you land from a jump, is easy to jump on, and is good for sliding when you dive in back court.

Sand is just too tiring for a smaller heavy guy like myself to play on, and on grass the ground is often uneven and is more likely to cause injry in my experience.

  5. Hard Court. It's what I'm used to playing on.

  6. Hard court, i'm awful at sand, and never played on grass

  7. Hard court..it is easier to jump and you can slide more when you dive.

  8. Hard court. It is easier to  move around, you can jump higher for that spike, it is fun to dive with knee pads on,

Do I need to go on?

  9. hard court because diving and sliding for the ball is easier and less painful.

  10. Hard court......I like the team work that comes from playing 6 v 6.

  11. Court for falling,diving,sliding.

    Sand for workout.

i hate grass cuz you slip.

  12. Hard Court.

You get more spring when you jump, and it is easier to get from where you are to the ball.

Sand does not have enough traction, and grass has too much.

  13. SAnd...why you ask...b/c if you fall it doesn't hurt at bad!

  14. Hard court (in particular, Elaine Michaelis Court at the Smith Fieldhouse at BYU).  I play mainly 6-on-6 or 3-on-3 (with 2 hitters who can only hit back row and 1 setter), so I prefer to play indoors on a nice, springy court.  Nothing against sand or grass, but I like the specialized nature of indoor, so hard court's the one for me.

  15. I've always loved hard court volleyball, learned on it & learned to love it. But I'm always up for a sand game, don't get to play on it enough as I'd like to.

  16. Sand. Better work out.
