First off: Palawan is a province composed of several islands, Boracay is a single small island.

The asnswer to your question depends on what exactly you want.

Boracay is a beautiful, very easy to reach, very very overrun tourist place where you can party.

Most places in Palawan are more beautiful, less visited and without party than Boracay.  It is also trickier to get to.

Bora is overrated, that is If you want people to see or be seen and party go here.

Palawan is better if you desire not those above mentioned.

Go to Palawan and explore El Nido, Coron and Puerto Princessa. It's more out of the way and less tourists. All three destinations have great beaches and near Coron you can go on a safari and an island tour in the same day!

Cheaper in Palawan. Good hotels and really good food. Did I say cheap?

Go to Boracay if you want to be where all the other tourists are going to be. It's nice, has a great beach and all the amenities will be nearby from bars, restaurants, general stores, etc.

Both are such wonderful places to go to. If you are more into exploring, I would recommend Palawan. If you wish to get out of the hustle and bustle of the metro, Boracay would most likely be the best and easiest choice.

if you are a nature-lover, and you want less people and more peaceful (I mean, less disturbance from the crowd), go to Palawan...
