Hi everyone, I would like to take my parents to one of the islands in Spain. I have a free week and can only choose one of those islands. Since my parents are senior I would like to take them where they can bathe in the beach and it's not so windy. Please any advice? what's the temperature like in the islands at the end of April? Thank you.

  1. The canaries are the best bet for heat but they are usually windy and in the Atlantic, so you would not catch me bathing in April. Of the Balearics, I think Majorca is by far the prettiest, especially in the north of the island, the scenery is breathtaking. Again though, even in the Med, I would not be in the water in April. Usually heats up by June or July thro to early Oct.

  2. Mallorca or Menorca both have very nice beaches etc... but really, I don't think it will be swimming weather...

Having said that, my parents live there at the mo, and supposedly it has been warmer than normal over the last few weeks so you never know you may get lucky!

  3. Balerics....Majorca by far..best holidays ever there!!!

The beaches are really good especially Alcudia's very clean...it has a blue flag. It's never been windy when ive been..tho that was in summer. When I went when i was a bit younger there where usually lots of older ppl.Just don't to Magaluf....very noisy, was Ok when i was younger but when we went back 4/5 yrs ago it was full of clubbers..not the best when there's lots of little kids/older ppl. That year we stayed in Palma Nova next to Magaluf(you can walk to them..v close) and it was quiet and relaxed..probably the same now.
