besides environmental engineer , which job in the field of environmental science makes the most difference in helping the environment restore itself?

That is a very difficult question to answer, because it depends on your definition of restoration. Environmental engineers and geologists dont restore the environment, as mush as we dilute the contaminants to the point that they are not a danger to humans. To be perfectly honest, in actually restoring the environment to the way it was, the bugs and bunny people (river and stream restoration) are the ones that do that the best.
