  1. First of all.

If you are going to be an officer, you will not be "fixing"things.

That is usually done by the enlisted.

    Second.

If you are interested in the Aerospace field, check out the Air Force.

    ROTC or the Academy.

    Forget the Marines.

  2. mechanical officer--or if you want to actually fly in an aircraft become a crew chief- down side for you is that that's an enlisted position. Good luck. And the marines do have aerospace careers you just gotta look around.

  3. Probably some type of technical or mechanical area! You could work on broken HUM V's in Iraq, or fix different machines and weapons!

  4. I had a good laugh about "medium amount of combat".  What the h**l is a "medium amount" anyway?  lol  I've been in combat and have more experience then some and less then some so maybe I have it...2 deployments as a grunt gave a lot more then pogues get so I don't know.   lol

Anyway...Marine officers don't get much of a say in what MOSs they will get.  They can pick from Air (must be able to pass flight physical), Ground or Law (must have JD or be already accepted to a law school).

After OCS the new Lts will go through TBS.  Then, can't remember how long  into the school, the class will be broken down into 1/3s and they get to pick MOSs on a wishlist.  If the MOS they want isn't available the needs of the Marine Corps come first and they will be assigned one.

  5. You want to be a USMC officer and you are armed with requests..Not good..

You should be honored to be a Marine then all after that is a bonus..

  6. What he said.

  7. My brother is a driver for the Marines, he drives soldiers, weapons, fuelers and much more, try being a driver.

  8. Air Force or General Dynamics
