  1. I personally LOVE being a flight attendant.  But, the lifestyle is not for everyone!  Some of the things I love about being a flight attendant are the flexibility, traveling the world, meeting a lot of new people, the nice friendly and funny passengers, being independent (no boss to breathe down your neck all day long), the benefits, ending up in the right place, at the right time (I've been to Amsterdam during Queen's Day, London during the Tour de France, Paris at the Presidential Elections, met Jennifer Garner in LA, Jean Smart in Dallas...etc, etc).  The things I don't like about it: I wish it paid more, work days over 12 hours, crabby/rude passengers, and really early mornings!  I prefer to be a night owl!!  Take some time and think about what is right for YOU.  Only you know the answer to that question!  Best of luck in whichever you decide!

  2. Do the flight attendant thing. Just be prepared to stick it out for at least six months to a year (partially because most of the time you have to pay for your own uniforms if you don't.)

Its going to be rough in the beginning but take lots of pictures and keep a journal- you'll be glad afterwards.

Also, you need to know that (especially the first couple of months) its going to be hard to have much of a "real life"- you won't be able to plan things with your friends, etc.

Its a cool experience, though. You should do it.

And please don't be scared for your safety- air travel is MUCH safer than ground travel in terms of the number of fatalities, etc.

  3. If you like two feet on the ground go with theTravel Counselor, if your not afraid to fall out of the sky, like I am, then go with the Flight Attd. you`ll get to see more of the country.

  4. what exactly is a travel counselor?  Is it anything like a travel agent?  As a flight attendant I can say I love my job!  Good luck!
