Which jumping rope technique burns more calories?

I love rope jumping. I usually do 1000-2000 rope jumps every day without stopping. (stumbling doesn't count lol).

But which technique burns more calories? The basic jump with both feet together or the skipping/alternate foot jump? The alternate foot jump takes much longer and makes me sweat more than the basic jump, which gets my heart rate higher.

    it gets your thighs going better!!
