  1. fuel costs have killed many aircraft businesses. the passengers are porbably the biggest factor. 9/11 caused many passengers to refrain from flying, crippling many airlines still today


  2. Airline Deregulation has had a significant impact on the aviation industry. I believe that it caused a lot of airlines, most notably Pan Am, to go bankrupt, because they relied on the government to give them money and instruction on how to run their businesses.
