  1. Get the largest one possible.  In my experience, I've never had any name brand flash memory get corrupted.  Go to www.dealnews.com and www.dealram.com for deals on SD memory.  Note: there's actually a subgroup of SD memory called SDHC (High Capacity) that is new - SDHC cards may not work in older pieces of equipment, so be sure that your camcorder is compatible with it if you get SDHC memory - though it isn't necessary.  Also, there's Micro/MiniSD cards, which are tiny versions of SD cards.  These are usually sold with an adapter which can then be used to have the Micro/MiniSD card work as an SD card (same form factor).  Major brands include Kingston and Sandisk.

  2. IF ITS A GOOD CAMCORDER GET AN ULTRA FAST 4 GB. IF ITS NOT A TOP NOTCH ONE BUY A CHEAP 2GB. WHY? IT WANT MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THE SECOND GRADE A FAST SD AND IT WILL BE A WASTE OF MONEY. I KNOW THIS PERSONALLY.
