Which kind of backpack should I get for middle school?

Question

Okay my mom heard from her friend at work that if you go to middle school with a regular backpack they will make fun of you. So i bought a shoulder bag it's a south pole and was a lot of money, so i can't return it for another backpack. Was that the right thing to do?

my school is huge and almost everyone uses backpacks, but im in highschool now, in middle school lots of people use totes but same goes for regular backpacks, If you like the bag you got then your fine

im in 7th grade and last year i had a shoulder bag....at school we dont have lockers so it was very heavy to carry my shoulder bag so i had to get a bookbag

Well, I have a regular backpack. It's a blue and grey L.L. Bean. I don't get made fun of... The only person who gets teased for his backpack is this one guy with a SHOULDER BAG! But, of course, he also has scars, wears the same pants every day and has awful handwriting...

in my opinion, you should buy a bag that's comfortable for you,,i used both my backpack and my shoulder bag when i was high school but when i entered college,, i used only shoulder bag because backpacks are not too good for bones..it's your choice what to use because you're the one who will use it.

Most kids at my school have a regular bookbag. Mines purple L.L Bean with my initials.  But kids at my school also have shoulder bags. I think there reallyy cool.  And i think its stupid for someone to make fun of your book bag. Its just a bag to carry books and stuff.

I see people with shoulder bags getting made fun of alot more then people with regular book bag. A regular book bag has more space in it and fits in a locker better. A shoulder bag is really hard on your back.

That is so stupid who would give a F*** about what kind of backpack you wear there are so many more important issue then being like everyone else.Just find a backpack that you like that feels comfortable and that fits YOUR style. If a stupid person does make fun of you just say "This is my backpack and i like it so get over it". Its ok to be different or i say unique its not a crime. So just pick one that you like and get over it

i always use shoulder bags:

1) easy to use & carry (just swing em on your shoulder & you're good to go)

2) they're stylish (the ones i use)

3) i like getting compliments from people @ school; they all have regular backpacks, so i guess they like that i'm unique.

Depends on if you carry your bag around all day with you or if you leave it in your locker.  In my middle school, we weren't allowed to carry our bags around during the day so no one really knew what kind of backpack we had.  

But anyway, I think that's kind of ridiculous that you'd get made fun of if you had a regular backpack.  That's not true at all.  I had a messenger bag in middle school but for the most part everyone had regular backpacks.  Really, it's all about your own preference.  If you like the way carrying a shoulder bag feels and you can fit all of your school stuff in it, then you should be fine.  And if anyone makes fun of you because of your bag then you should just laugh at them because they are being stupid and immature.
