  1. Go to the ophthalmologist and he will choose the best contact lenses for you.

Remember , your eyes `health should be checked by a doctor.(MD).

  2. i wear acuve oasis an they are really comfortable i have tried alot of contact lenses and those were the best so i would recommend those if i were an eye doctor

but i would see an eye doc. to see which is best for you

         hope i helped,

  3. I just went and got fitted for contacts too.  I am going to experiment with a few different brands.  I can try them out and if I don't like them return them.  I am NOT committed to buy anything that is not comfortable.  Go to an eye clinic, optometrist, or optician and hopefully you will get the same service.

There are the rigid lenses and the soft lenses.  Most people get the soft ones now a days, but the rigid last longer and are less expensive.  They take longer to adjust to as well.

Good luck, and nice "seeing" you here :-)

  4. I've been wearing contacts for a couple of years now and I've tried about 3 different brands. If i'm honest I've never noticed a difference between them!

I've never heard of day and night contacts but they sound really uncomfortable, obviously I have to take mine out at night though. It's a nasty feeling waking up with contacts still in!

I use daily disposable ones which works out great for me as I don't need to clean them after use. The other advantage to daily disposable contacts is you can take them out anywhere without worrying about cleaning them, like last week I was going on a plane and I just had to go to the bathroom and take mine out and bin them while my mum had to take her non disposable contacts out before going to the airport as she wouldn't be allowed through security with the cleaning fluids she needs to store them in.

I'm sure you'll get on great with whatever ones you choose though.

  5. the soft ones are safer I think, but the hard ones last longer and cheaper, but I suggest the soft ones

  6. Bausch&lomb, acv, ciba vision, proclear. Most comfortable will depends on the fitting of the lenses for ur eyes. A check with ur eye doc will determine everything. Those that are very comfortable ones are called silicone lenses. Thery are very good for the eye.

  7. No one can really say which brands are most comfortable. Your exam fitting will let u know when u try them.  There are the clear contacts and there are the colored contacts.  It all depends on your taste really.  If u want the clear, u can try Acuvue Oasys, if u want colored you can try Freshlook colorblends or the enhancers (www.freshlookcontacts.com) or Acuvue 2 colors (www.acuvue.com).  Then there are those with the time-period... daily, weekly, monthly....yearly.  Since u're going to be doing theis for the first time (just assuming), I think it's best u ask your doctor which one is best for u to start out with.

  8. There really is no such thing as a brand that is more comfortable.

A brand that is very comfortable for another person , may not work for you at all.

When you go for your fitting, they will try different brands on you if neccessary , after discussing what you would like, and explaining the different types available.
