We want to buy a hammock for our backyard and a stand as well but we can't figure out which type of hammock to get. Should we get a rope hammock like this..

or a fabric one like this...

if you have a hammock which do you have? Do you like it? Which would you buy if you were buying a hammock?

  1. Rope.

As for the fabric one, even if you don't leave it out in the rain, the fabric will soak up sweat, and this will cause it to rot faster, and the eventual weakness in the fabric may not be visible until someone falls through it.  With a rope hammock, all the ropes will not tear at the same time, and when they start to fray, you can just get a new hammock.

  2. id get the fabric it looks more comfortable to me

  3. Definitely the rope one.

We used to have a cloth hammock in the back yard, and it just never fit right - you could never could comfortable in it. The rope one is super comfortable, and I love to lay in it. It kind of hugs you, and surrounds you for the perfect fit. I LOVE it! I would definitely recommend the rope hammock instead of the cloth one.
