Which kinds of birds eat rice?

I wanna get a bird that eats rice.

Like those little birds in the cages that people sell.

I was planning on getting a colorful bird but I heard they eat different things I just want to know if there is a bird that can feed on rice.

& the birds are about the size of your hand.

Birds cannot eat rice unless it is fully cooked. Raw rice swells up in their bellies and and kills them. If you are going to feed rice to any bird must be cooked and I would use brown rice as it is more nutritious. Also have to supplement any birds diets with more than rice. Get a book and read on it. Cooked rice is fine. my birds love it. but all birds need veggs and fruit and seeds.sometimes alittle meat too.

Birds eating rice is fine but you cannot have a bird live on rice! You will kill the bird.

Birds live on a variety of food including seed, pellets, fresh & cooked food, not rice.

Look up the species you're interested in. Not all birds are suited to all people. Do research on the bird you like & their required diets & decide from there.
