  1. As you would know , the fish market at the Mina  in Tripoli is quite an experience....

All kinds of fresh fish caught that night , humungous shrimp ( we call them prawns ) which are fantastic to eat ( ignore Kate , she's fussy & has a conscience ) .

The market runs as an auction so the produce is not only fresh but very cheap...the shrimp are still alive ...they look at  you saying pick me , pick me !

EDIT...ignore the rascist comments coming from the ignoramus above moi...

  2. We have very small shrimp and it's very expensive around 100,000 L.L. (60$) a kilo but it's too small and it's cheaper to buy imported jumbo shrimp from Kuwait which cost 50,000 L.L. per kilo. We also have crab and it's not that expensive...well I actually get it for free cuz I get it myself...lol...and we have something called "oursin" (french) it has spikes on the outside shell so you have to wear gloves to open it with a special knife and inside you have an orange meat that tastes like salty mango...lol...I get that for free too cuz you find it on rocks. We also have plenty of jelly fish and yes the chinese eat that...YUCK

We also import fresh clam but YUCK...dunno how pple eat that.

My favorite is shrimp but not the jumbo kind where the shrimp is looking at you while you're trying to eat it...and I also like crab.

EDIT: Ignore me Aussie??? FYI those fishes are imported alive and cooled from Syria and Turkey

EDIT 2: Ignowhat???? and why are you calling me racist???  Now you hurt me
