I'm not sure which knife to buy. They are both really similar.

  1. Out of those two, i'd deffinatly get the smith and wesson as it is known to be a reliable brand. with most things you get what you pay for, it more expensive, but even from just looking at the picture you can tell it's beter made. Also, according to the webiste, people who bought the S&W blade gave it an average of 5 stars, so they were happy with thier purchase. the other brand doesnt have any information on customer satisfaction, go with the sure thing.

  2. Next Generation KA-BAR, Serrated Edge. Carried in the Navy for many years of fine service.

  3. I would choose the S&W from your choices you have given us. I always buy quality and that usually means more cost. You will be happier in the long run by buying a quality knife than something cheaper that looks cool.

  4. Out of the two? Get the S&W. the other knife is made from 420 stainless and any knife made in that crappy grade is only good at being eye candy or a paperweight. Even the S&W is ****, the description reads 440 which means 440A. Complete POS. And a word of advice, there are grades of steel. 420=sh*t, 440A=sh*t, 440B=decent, 440C=Only good in short knifes. Anything over 6" and get carbon steel. And if it says in the item description only 440 then it's 440A and not worth a **** except for eye candy. But when it comes to carbon grade I wold go for a harder grade like 1080-1095 for knives. For swords 1040-1070. I know a little about steel grades as I do collect knives and some swords.

Edit: If you want somthing the same shape get a KA-BAR with the rubber handle and that has serrations. It's costs more but not much to the S&W but it's worth it.

And to Eric W: The reviews are fixed. I notice this with sites that sell edged junk, they remove the really negaitve reviews and the people who are buying this knife never really use them, they buy them for eye candy or not beating the c**p out of it like I do my knives. Nothing wrong with that but they usually only review on aethetics.

  5. I'd get the S&W . It seem to be a better quality knife .

  6. You can get the same one from BUDK for 9.99.

I think you should get tis one though:

I have both, and the silver one is auctually somewhat good steel and, and the alternating saw on the back is (really) useful for yardwork.
