  1. Most languages share common roots with other languages, in this case latin based languages like french, Italian and Portugese will be in the same group as Spanish and have many similarities, so those will learn it the easiest.

    As for numbers of people learning Spanish from a particular group, no idea, but I'd guess at the US and Brasil as having the highest number of  Spanish speakersa s a second language

  3. In face of the linguistic affinity, Italians, French and Portuguese are the champions in Spanish studies.

  4. I would say French and Italian, because Spanish is based on Latin and French and Italian are based on Latin.

  7. I would guess Italian due to the fact that the two languages are very similar ( same for portuguese ). But In the USA , spanish is the second most spoken language!
