  3. Arabic

  4. Arabic. They're always in demand.

  5. For counter-terrorism, since most of the investigation is happening in the middle east, I would definitely need to say Arabic. That along with any other commonly spoken languages in the middle east.

  6. hah!  Everyone thinks Arabic!  I agree it is important for now.  Yet you have the most important one already.  English.  I think that most reports that filter up to command are already translated into English.

Oklahoma City wasn't due to a bunch of Muslims.  Domestic counter-terrorism would tend to be more reliant on English.

Ultimately it would depend on your specialization.  Regional biases would also come to play.  SE Asia: Indonesian or Telug.  Latin America. would most definatly require Spanish.

  7. Arabic or Farsi are two very good answers.  Being that there are many terrorist organizations in the Middle East. Farsi is the best though, because it is more versatile.

Also you might want to learn Korean.

  8. Arabic.

  9. Arabic or Farsi would be the tops but Mandarin and Russian are still good to know

  10. Arabic / Farsi are a good start, add French and then a smatering of Turkish.

I've got Arabic, Farsi, Maltese, Italian, Turkish and French.

  11. Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish dialects, Armenian, Hebrew

  12. Arabic. Second would be Pashto.

  13. Well if you don't know English first what difference would it make?
