Which laptop has the best battery life??

hi,,i want to know which laptop with the best features has the best battery life...what about the sony vaio??how long does the battery last if fully charged??and tell me what exact things that make battery empty fastly...thanks

Yes my Friend i would suggest using a Toshiba L300 because it shows the right amount of battery left and doesn't run out quickly and if you say how do i know well i am using it .

All laptops are different. Brand have NOTHING to do with Battery life.

Battery life is determined on what the Laptop is made OF, not the BRAND.

The CPU (When under load), and the Screen (Backlights) are the major suckers of battery life, this has been optimised over the past years.

USB devices are also big suckers of battery, as they require power to work.

A common way to increase battery life is to buy a bigger celled battery.

IMHO, Sony laptops have a longer battery life.  It lasts an average of 3.5 hours.  Dell and Toshiba have an average of 2.5 hours while the least is Acer with average of 1.5 hours.  This is only on a personal experience.  How do we extend the battery life to its fullest?  1. Use with the minimum brightness of your lcd.  2.  Avoid using external devices like mouse, USB drives, etc.  3. minimize the sound or better yet mute.  when not in use have it in a stand by state or sleep mode as soon as possible (you can set it at the display properties). 4.  When using a battery, always drain your battery the minimum before charging it to the max.

according to me apple mac book has the best battery life. Sony vaio is also not bad.
