well it depends on your budget, if u want less than a grand than good luck my friend because there are very few deals out there that have the hardware for you but if your willing to spend a grand to a grand and a half i would say the gateway 6860 is the best choice its got a 512 mb gddr3 (THATS WICKED GOOD) graphics card along with a 320 gig hard drive, vista 64 bit, 4 gigs of ram, a killer sound card and speakers, every output and input port you will ever need and use, sweet hot key buttons, full keyboard, 17 inch screen, cd-dvd read and write drive with dual layer support and lightscribe technology, and a core 2 duo processor which is only 1.8 GHZ per second but i upgraded it to a 2.5 ghz processor on my own which was another 75 bucks for me cuz i got a good deal. Its also extremely easy to upgrade, there are many tutorials for upgrading anything from RAM to processor and graphics cards as well. cheep and extremely powerful. I can play crysis all high settings with objects quality, water quality, and physics quality maxed plus max resolution and it runs smooth and lag free. Really good, if you can spend more, i would go for a custom sony vaio AR series. And if you can afford even above that, go for the alienware.
