Which laptop should a student like me get?

I want a few options for which laptop is good for me.

-i want something with a good game card and playing abilities along with enough memory to have a few games stored on to it with out slowing it down.

-also i am big into surfing the net; checking out youtube, google, ebay, yahoo so something that would work good for the internet

-i also have a ipod touch, so something compatible with that would be really good.

-as far as additional programs i only really need the basic windows package with word, and maybe excel, power point.

My price range would be below the 1000 and the lower the better but if there were a really good laptop i would maybe pay more like 1500, 1600 range.

Really good laptop= macbook pro for everything. Otherwise the HP TX2500z is 2nd plus it is under 1000

I love love LOVE my hp pavilion dv6000.

I have the widescreen entertainment model and its seriously the best computer i've had. Plus, external hard drives are super cheap just in case you want one.

It has the basics but i dont think pp or excel, but if you have utorrent you could download them in a snap!

I just got mine on sale for $800 CDN, but its still not that expensive full price. Plus it has the webcam and fingerswipe! Sweet eh?!

Plus, you can find them absolutely everywhere. Check around best buy and future shop and walmart and staples and office max. You could def find one for a cheaper price!

EDIT- it does have powerpoint, and excel and a whole ton of other stuff! it only comes with a trial but heres some activation codes!
