  1. I bought a reconditioned Packard Bell laptop from PC World recently. It's the Easynote Skype Edition. I have found this model very good, with built in wireless connectivity to the web + built in camera ability. It's cost was aprox. £250 and I am well pleased with it's performance.

  2. you can buy HP Pavilion dv5t.

  3. I would get the Hp Pavilion. You can always trust Hp. But my first choice would be Dell, they have great products! But if these are your only choices do Hp. Those are the ones I'd pick. Good Luck.

  4. Never buy an HP PC or LapTop.

    Sony OK

    Acer ?

    Toshiba, Great!

  5. HP make great computers and Acer are OK too.

Avoid Sony (and Macs) at all costs.

You seem to have overlooked the two best makers of laptops though, Dell and Lenovo.

  6. If I had two grand to burn, I would go for a Mac.  My son has one and it's much better than the Dell and two Acer laptops we have in the house.  I know it's not on your list, but that would be my recommendation.
