The last date will depend on the year in which you earned taxable income.  If you are talking about 2008-2009, the first advance tax is payable on or before 15th September, if the tax payable for the total year exceeds Rs. 5000.  If you refer to 2007-2008, then the last date is already over.  It was 30th June.
