I used Miracle Gro on my lawn which wasn't growing well and had brown patches.    

It is like a green jungle all over now!  True we have had a lot of rain which helps, but I am really happy with the results!

Scott's Turf Builder with Summer Guard - does wonders!  Makes the lawn turn a deep green color and zaps weeds well too!

There a number of weed and feeds available,first and foremost be sure it is for your type lawn, what works on one may kill or damage another.Most should not be applied in the heat of summer.So many weed and feed products are put in the hands of the home owner by store clerks who have no idea what they are selling...so beware.Scotts has a product I'm sure that applies to your area and lawn type.Read the label, it could save you from damaging or killing your lawn.The same applies for "spray" weed killers, there is not one lawn weed killer that's safe for all type grasses.Scotts Turf Builder With Summer Guard is not a weed killer but insecticide included with turf builder fertilizer.
