No question, spend the extra $30.  The main reason in my mind is that it does not appear you have any mulching option with the Yard Machine.  You want to be able to mulch.

Also, the big rear wheels make the mower roll considerably easier and smoother.

Definitely #1 You get the same cutting area, less gas consumption (smaller motor) and the easy start for 30 bucks less. No brainer.
