Which leads do i need to connect a plasma tv to a home cinema system?

I realy haventgot a clue what i am doing so if theres anything else i need to know about setting this up, please tell me. For example what is AV receiver and do i need one?

Really, only the HDMI if your AV Rx'r has an output for it.

My TV was direct from the DVD/SKY box, and the AV judt did the audio, if you can give the make and model, maybe we can check for you!

Just an HDMI cable would work.  Get an AV receiver for surround sound, as well as, ease of use when connecting multiple components (i.e. DVD, cable box, ipod,etc.).
