  1. I like the American League more because when i am always watching national league games on tv it will be like the second or third inning and their will be people on first and second or on second and third and the pitcher will be up and ill be like d**n automatic third out. Thats what i think the pitcher batting in the National League is its basically a free out and that why i like the American League. Plus i grew up in Seattle so i followed America League teams like the Mariners

  2. NL, even though I still like the Red Sox and Yankees. I like the NL because my all time favorite team  (Dodgers) play in that league. :P

  3. I like the NL. This is true baseball here the way the game was created to play.  It's your 9 versus my 9, none of that DH garbage.  That's all we need is some 40 year old with bad knees making millions to swing a bat 3 times a game without stepping onto the field defensively.  What a load of c**p the AL is.

  4. i like the AL because me fav team is in the AL

    GO WHITESOX! :)

  5. i like NL because AL has DH and plays a more powerful style of baseball and by that i mean more power pitchers, home run hitters, and obviously the DH

  6. I'm an AL girl.

  7. Like you, I like the AL because of my favorite team (GO WHITE SOX!!!!)  No, I am not a "Chicago fan"  (those of you from Chicago know what I mean by that).  But it's mainly the Cubs fans that say that....hmmm....wonder why....

  8. I like the AL because it is more of an offensive league with the DH...not to mention the best pitchers are usually on AL teams...

  9. I like the AL because the Red Sox are in the AL, and the AL has always been the stronger league. If you don't believe me, watch the last 15 All-Star Games.

CubsBearsBulls, I see your opinion, but respectfully disagree. While you call the DH a cheap player because he doesn't field, I call the pitcher a cheap hitter because he's an automatic out. In the AL pitchers have a full and strong line-up to face, but in the NL you get a break with the 9th-spot pitcher, who can't hit for sh*t.

  10. i think the lack of the DH in the NL is the stupidest thing i've ever seen. its horrid you have to waste at bats early in the game because the pitcher has to hit. i'd rather see good baseball on the field than watch managers thinking.

plus my hometown Indians play in the AL.

  11. NL....My favorite team's in the National League..

  12. I like the NL because there is way more strategy in this league. To me baseball isn't a sport that is meant to keep you on the edge of your seat for the whole game with constant scoring.  The AL tried to make their league more exciting by adding a guy that does half of the work of his teammates and gets paid the same if not more than them. The NL showcases managers and their decisions and also holds players more accountable for their play.

    Here is an example:

In a close game, Pitcher A is pitching into the 6th inning. He gets into trouble with two out and loads the bases. His spot in the lineup is coming up when his team bats. The bullpen was stretched thin from the night before and has 1-2 "available" relievers. Does the manager:

    A. Keep his struggling pitcher in

    B. Send in a reliever for the pitcher, then pinch hit for the pitcher in his next AB and have to use another reliever.

    C. Send in the RP and keep the RP in the game by letting him bat even though it's most likely an "automatic out".

These kinds of decisions are what I really enjoy seeing in baseball and add to the drama of the game. In the AL the decision is easy. The AL manager would most likely yank the pitcher and be able to keep his RP in the game with no further decisions other than how long to keep the RP in the game.

And for the people that cringe at the fact that pitchers are automatic outs when guys are on base, it works both ways. I love watching my team get out of a jam pitching to the other teams pitcher and a lot of times these "jams" will be created because a pitcher will "pitch around" the #8 hitter to get to the pitcher.

  13. NL because the AL is cheap and gets a DH

  14. I personally like NL because i like the Giants and Cardinals. it also has all the teams that i like.

i also like the redsox and mariners which are in the AL.

so i guess its sorta a tie

  15. I like the NL, because my team is in it as well

  16. I like the AL because the White Sox are in that league. I don't see any other reason I like the AL.
