I want to buy a life insurance plan for myself that covers being murdered because I have a very unstable family situation. Do you know of any? How much do they charge?

  1. If you seriously believe you might be murdered, buying insurance is not the healthiest response to the situation.  Getting away from those who might kill you is what you should be doing.  What good is the money going to do you if you are dead?

  2. The obvious question is why would you remain in such a "family situation"?

  3. most insurance plans will cover you if you are a murder victim, however none of them will cover you if you lose your life while you are committing a felony. In your unstable family situation I think rather than buy insurance, I think I'd rather just move.....And insurance is not charged by how unstable your family is....but instead by your current age and general health.

  4. The only death that is not covered is suicide in the first 2 years. If your beneficiary murders you they money would go to the next person in line.

  5. Most insuraance policies will cover murder, but they all ALL have what is called a 2 year exclusion policy.  So anything that happends, natural or otherwise WILL NOT be covered.  You will just get ack any premium paid.

  6. Any life insurance policy would cover your death if you were murdered, unless there was collusion uncovered in the investigation (meaning, your death was ruled a murder but you participated, as in assisted suicide).

Sorry to hear about your family situation.

  7. Who do you plan on leaving the money to?

Life insurance is charged based on your gender, age, health, and the coverage amount.

Any local, independent agent should be able to help you.  But if the beneficiary is the person who commits the murder, they can't get paid.

  8. I work in the insurance industry and most policies have a clause about criminal acts, acts of war, terrorism.

Best bet is to read the policy because if there is any question the wording of the policy is what the courts will use for a decision.

Why don't you just get out of the unstable situation?

  9. Alot of them offer accidental death insurance, which I'm pretty sure murder would fall under. As far as the rates goes, who knows. I think that the younger you are, the cheaper the rates...
