Question:

Which lightened fast? I've got one lighted candle positioned at the center. Then I've got 3 matchsticks.

In my experiment.. I place, 2 at the opposite sides and one at the top. and the one at the top lightened easily. Why is it so?.. my answer must be based on the transfer of heat.. Conduction, convection, radiation..

please help,.!.. I'm waiting,.. 60sec. gooo!!!!!!!

  1. It's a little difficult to understand your question, but if you have one match positioned above a candle flame and two others at the side, the reason the one above was lit (ignited) first is that the heat was conducted to the match by the air and hot air rises, therefore this was faster than it radiated through the air to the matches at the side.  Try putting your hand above a flame (carefully !) to see the effect.
