  1. If to combine the batting order:

    1. Eckstein

    2. Erstad

    3. Teixeira

    4. Guerrero

    5. Hunter

    6. Anderson

    7. Salmon

    8. Molina

    9. Kennedy

I did that by how the '04 Angels played then and how the '08 Angels play now.  To me, it looks like the top and bottom go to the '04 Angels.  But the power is all from the '08 Angels.

Overall: I have to give the edge to the '04 Angels.  They have better contact hitters, faster players, they don't have better power, but enough to give them the edge.

  2. 2004 Lineup by far brother.

  3. 2004 was way more dangerous

  4. 08 u cant pitch a round any1

  5. something about that 2004 team was just ridiculous..those guys could all hit day in and day out, and when you can put a power hitter like Tim Salmon that low in the order, it means you have a stacked lineup

also not to be a Dbag but when you compare two things you use the words more/less instead of most/least

  6. I would go with the 2004 line up.  I know this years team is doing great but, not many of them have a great batting average with only Kendrick above 300.

  7. 1.) Rollins *off year but still deadly to be on 2nd base anytime 25/26 SB* - Adv. Rollins, same BA, 7 more hr, 24 more rbi, 10 more runs, 7 more SB, lower OBP but higher sluggin

2.) Victorino - Adv. Victorino, lower BA, 5 more HR, 1 more RBI, 36 more runs, 18 more SB

    3.) Utley - Adv.

4.) Howard - Adv. Howard, lower BA, 13 more HR, 40 more RBI, 8 more runs, exact same OPS which is OBP plus Slugging %

5.) Pat Burrell - Adv. Slightly Burrell, same BA, 10 more HR, 7 more RBI, 5 less runs, 10 less SB, WAYYYY higher OBP and SLG

6.) Jason Werth - Adv. TIE, same BA, 4 more HR, 13 less RBI, 6 less RUNS, 4 more SB, over .100 pts higher OPS

7.) Pedro Feliz - Adv. Feliz, higher BA, 5 more HR, 10 more RBI, same RUNS scored, 6 less SB, higher OPS

8.) Chris Coste - versus Izturis for stats reasons, Adv. Izturis with lower BA, 5 less HR, 7 more RBI, 21 more RUNS scored, 10 more SB, much lower OPS

9.) Pitcher spot - ADV. goes to the American League team with the DH

So you win with two spots in the lineup...both at the VERY BOTTOM. Stats speak for themselves and the Phillies lineup is even having an "off" year for their usual individual statistics. Your pitching is lightyears better, so focus on which SP lineup is better '04 or '08....i choose '04 with Schilling and Johnson at the end of their PRIME!

  8. 08 is more versatile, remember that in 04 Salmon was not the Salmon that we all knew, he was a shell of himself by that point!  THis team has power and speed, they can play any style of game they need to.

  9. I would say the 2004 lineup because Vlad and Garret Anderson were younger and in their prime, and that year vlad had 39 HRs and 126 RBIs. He is no where near that pace this year.

  10. 04

  11. The 08 version is better than the 04 edition, they are stacked 1-9 and they can run on you too.
