The Draino Foaming Pipe Snake works wonders.

To me, the dry pellets are the best.  The liquid or foam cleaners pale in comparison.

For store-bought, the Drano Pipe Snake (I swear, that's what it's called) is pretty good.

For homemade, vinegar and baking soda do a decent job.
