Which major and which city?

I'm really confused on what I should major in. I really want to go into television acting, but I'm not going try to get an agent until I'm in or done with college. I'm going to use my high school years to do local plays and take lessons.

What should I major in? People keep telling me Theater, but I want to be on television.

I live really close to Chicago, is that a good place for me to go to school and start off in?

theater is the fundamentals of all acting so i say major in theater

there are some great colledges in chicago so id say start in chicago (ur so lucky chicago is my dream city lol)
