My pick is the Twins. This year, Perkins, Blackburn, Buscher, and Span have all been brought up and doing outstanding.

But i may be a bit biased, being from MN.

  1. Entering the 2008 season, Baseball America (they are the premier source for minor league and prospect information) rated the Tampa Bay Rays the top minor league system.

  2. Rays,---  Crawford, Upton, Longoria, Navarro, Jackson, Zobrist, Sonnanstine were all in the Rays' farm system at one point.

Plus Josh Hamilton and Bobby Abreu to name a few

  3. The Rockies by far.

    Players from the farm system:

Matt Holliday- 2007 batting title, power hitter, you know him

Todd Helton- 3-time gold glove vet

Brad Hawpe- power hitter, 29 homers last year

Garrett Atkins- power hitter, career BA above 300

    Troy Tulowitzki- ROY runner-up

    Chris Ianetta- power hitting catcher

Manny Corpas- lights out setup man

    Jeff Francis- Ace

    Aaron Cook- All Star pitcher

    Ubaldo Jimenez- hard throwing rookie

    Jeff Baker- power

    Clint Barmes- utility

...along with most of the rest of the team

The only players I can think of who didn't go through the Rockies farm system are Willy Taveras, Scott Posednik, Yorvit Torrealba, a few pitchers like Brian Fuentes.

They got to the World Series last year with a truly homegrown team :)

    Good question

  4. You are right with the Twins, they are always bringing up good young talent. The A's always have good young pitching that always gets traded away.

  5. Minnesota...they've pulled up 6 players from the minors (Two pitchers and 4 Batters/infielder/O-fielders)

    Glen Perkins 6-3 3.42 ERA

    Nick Blackburn 7-6 4.41 ERA

Denard Span .347 BA in Two and a half weeks play

Alexi Casilla .313 BA has only played for a month and has 38 RBIs

Brian Buscher .333 BA 26 RBIs for the past month he would play like 3 games every week

Carlos Gomez(injured)-21 stolen bases, 53 runs

  6. the a's have a good 1 the mets is probaly the worst

  7. idk

but wat i do know is that the yankees have an abundance of young major league ready prospects to trade that is why they were able to go out and get marte & nady
