Males are usually more gregarious and make better family birds.  Females are a little more calm.  But both are equally good.

I answered your other question too. The males are more calm...females are the aggressors in the pairs that I have. The females are very nippy, the males are not. I have one albino male I have as a pet, he is very sweet.  Go and visit each bird and interact with it before you choose. Usually when I am out looking at birds, the bird chooses me. Some people have males and love them as pets, some have females and love tham as pets. It all depends on the bird. Talking ability too, it depends on how much time you spend interacting with it. Males and females both talk. There is no proof showing that one s*x talks better- it is all a myth.

Males parrotlets are much more sweet then females. Females tend to be aggresive even when hand fed. But, females do attach to there owners better. But I personally like female birds better, They usually have more attitude and spunk.

definately hand tamed and handfed.  Males have more color, females seem more calm.
