  1. Muay Thai

  2. no martial art by its self gives you a better physique. it may help just a little but it is the activities of the day and working out that give you a better look

  3. Jazzercise-do.

  4. Most if not all, but you have to train more than the one or two days a week your school offers. You have to exercise and practice what you have been taught daily. Once you return to class your instructors will help correct the mistakes that you are making. You are going to make some mistakes. Everyone does. If they didn't no one would need to practice.

  5. capoeira does a lot i found but doing any martial art to some extent will it just depends how hard you train and how you train.

  6. yeah, you should definetely look into Capoiera.

  7. It depends on what aspect of your physique you want to enhance. An art with a lot of kicking will improve your core (abs, mid torso), an art with a lot of form and deep stance and lunge steps, such as wushu, will improve your legs, an art like wing chun which is involving a lot of hand striking will improve your chest/shoulders and upper body as well as your core. Capoeria, which was mentioned in a previous post, will enhance them much like a dancer's skill set would improve your physique, but with more lean muscle developed for explosive strength.

In the end, it's not just the art that you choose to do, but also how you condition yourself for it; before you start, while you're training, and after your classes, which affects how you develope in terms of physique.

In my personal experience, Hapkido has produced profound improvements in all areas as it involves hand strikes, kicks; both flying and grounded, holds and locks, and throws/opponent manipulations.

As stated before, though - it's more about how you train and discipline yourself FOR the art, not singularly the art in itself.

You should also decide for what reason you're improving your build. Do you want functional muscle? Or is your desire purely for aesthetic purposes? This will affect how you train for the build you're looking for.

  8. I'd say Capoeira

  9. I think wrestling, Muay Thai, or boxing. You have to train extremely hard. You have to work on exploding. You have to train muscles you never thought you had.

  10. from a movement stand point based on physics not my own experience yet i would say capoeira or hungar kung fu

  11. Any physical activity done on a consistent basis will improve your physique, and with this, any martial art that you practice with dedication will tone your body.

If your only goal is to get a nice body, there are easier, less demanding ways to attain this goal. Try aerobics, light lifting, running, swimming, etc.

If you want to learn some self defense while looking good, any art practiced with dedication will do just fine.

  12. idk, but I know lifting helps improves phyisque mroe.
