OF the martial arts i mentioned which takes the sshortest time to be efficient at. I fight pretty well, but i want to expand my tool box.. I heard krav mega works, and u learn it in a short amount of time, but is it better than judo or muy thai? Ju jitsu does not work in street fights because i fought someone who knew jujitsu and i controlled him. The only thing he could do was survive on the ground.

  1. jujitsu????????  That can be devastating to use in a street fight.  If the guy was really good at it then he didn't want to use it in fear of snapping your bones into dust.  I would thank him if I was you.

  2. Muay Thai is your best option, but you won't become great at any of them quickly.

It's pretty obvious that you made up the supposed jiu jitsu fight.

  3. Yea u better thank that guy cause he probably woulda killed you if he didn't feel sorry for you or something.

Ju jutsu is the longest to learn =12 years till reach black belt but it is still the best style in a streetfight.

Krav maga is great and it doesn't take that long to learn from what I heard and a combo of muay thai and that would probably kick ***.

Karate is alright (taekwondo kicks its asssss) and you will expect around 8 yrs before going black if you go to a proper school that doesn't cut corners.

Judo is the more graceful version of jui jutsu (go brazilian, the rest aren't as aggresive) but it still kicks *** but expect 8 yrs+ for that.

Remember learning it in a short time and fighting against some1 who has done it for years will end in you in a body bag. So cutting corners doesn't work.

    Good luck

  4. mUAY THAI BECAUSE IT HELPS YOU TO USE THE TWO MAIN SRTIKES AT YOUR DISPOSAL WHICH ARE PUNCHES AND KICKS, muay thai helps you to also achieve a fitness that inproves you stamina.

  5. It always boils down to the individual's skill and mindset. The martial art itself does not matter. We all know how to run, walk, kick and punch. Some people can do it better than others, some have a natural knack for it, some don't, some gain the skill through training and practice.

Basing effectiveness of a martial art on a single or just a few fights between the same individuals is very narrow-minded. Each practitioner or fighter has varying proficiency and skill levels. Mind also enters the picture. Even the most skilled and practiced can freeze up or be intimidated in some confrontations. Specifically, street fights. There are no referees or rules and the very real possibility of getting hurt  can cause some people to freeze or panic.

There is NO ultimate martial art for EVERY situation and skill level, except experience. All true experienced fighters know this.

How is it you form the opinion that jiu-jitsu doesn't work from one fist fight? Perhaps the guy was a novice? Perhaps a better experienced jiu-jitsu fighter could have controlled and dominated you? Quite possible.

Example: Krav Maga can be devastating, but put a novice in the ring with an experienced jiu-jitsu expert and POW!, done deal. The same can be said for the vice versa.

By the way, I am not a jiu-jitsu practitioner. I just get annoyed when people make deductions like these after seeing one fight and blame the martial art for the inefficiency of the fighter himself.

  6. KRAV MAGA and MUAY THAI dont exactly take a long time to master but both kick alot of *** especially muay thai

  7. mauy thai is the best!
