  1. Integrated math will provide an overview of a variety of math practices whereas algebra will be an in depth look into this type of math.  Generally a path where a person takes algebra and then geometry would indicate a track towards college preparation whereas integrated math is not necessarily so.  Speak to your guidance counselor to determine your needs best.

  2. no yours is easier your math is the kind or stuff you take in 8th grade but you listed different things intro to algebra and intro to geometry are 2 different maths

geometry is harder and you usually take it sophmore or junior year

  3. intro to algebra

  4. i think urs is easier. but then again i've never heard of intergrated math 1

  5. I haven't taken either of those classes, so I can't say for sure, but it seems like both would be easy. Yours might be slightly simpler, since (as I understand it) Integrated Math involves real-life applications of math, and that would leave less time for learning new areas of math or elaboration on old ones. Hers probably involves more complex ideas in Geometry and Algebra than the ones you guys previously learned.

  6. forget math - you probably already know more math than you'll ever need. just keep your current math skills sharp!

  7. Ok first if her math sounds like the math you had last year, it probably is.  Your friend probably did not do as well in her 8th grade math and needs more time on it.  Your middle school teacher would have helped with that decision.  If the class is on the topics you learned last year then obviously it would be easier for you because you already know the topic.

I wouldn't think of it as she is getting off easier though because to her the class could be just as hard as yours is to you. Also don't think that you might want the easier class because you would be very bored since you learned it last year.

Trigonometry to me is a cross between geometry and algebra.  You work with circles and shapes.  For me it was my easiest math class I took in high school

  8. I think intro to algebra and geometry is easy.. but it's your choice, what your class will be..  You have learn algebra and geometry, why not try other things so that you could learn a lot not just the same thing before.. try new challenges!

  9. what the heck is integrated math? do you know? i say go with hers

  10. rofl intro sounds like a 6th grade class ide say intregrated is ahrder cus intro would b like easy stuff bcuz its  INTRODUCING  you to it

  11. intro to algebra and geometry is harder.....although both are not hard classes.

  12. i learn algebra right now.. and this summer...my tutor accidently taught me geometry and it was easy but its getting harder more later on!!!

i recomend algebra. because i am in algebra and i am in 9 grade now.

  13. no idea what integrated math 1 is but algebra one is easy, geometry not so much
