Which medical textbook is better?

Hi i am a 3rd yr medical student.. I have an option of buying CECIL textbk of medicine or Harrison's textbk of internal medicine...

Which textbk is better in terms of format, explaining pathologic basis and depth of details as well as treatment...

  1. I went to medical school with a Harrison (a grandson of Tinsley) but I have both books, they both have their strong points but Cecil's is easier to read.


  2. I Agree With the Above, Both is Probably Best.

  3. From an old doc: med students asked the same question 45 years ago. Back then, Cecil was more readable, but Harrison's had a great section on the differential diagnosis of presenting signs and symptoms.  Hope another respondent reveals whether it still does or not.
