Is it the way Americans do it, month-date-year or the British date-month-year.

I think the American way sounds better, but the British way looks better.

  1. It's a shame that there are two ways to do it it can easily be mixed up.

7/11/08 could be on  Nov 7th or on July 11th. How are people meant to know which system is in use?

  2. The British way looks and sounds better definately, but i suppose its what your used to. People generally want to know what the day is firstly, as we work on a 7 day week which is obviously shorten than a month.

Our upbringing tought us to start with the day then month and year. Its what were used to but I THINK its very clear and in the right order too.

I only know that in Poland it is the same as in Uk.

  3. dd/mm/yyyy, ie 13/08/2008

  4. Date-Month-Year

  5. date - month- year...

american way confuses me as i think it looks wrong! we say 3rd of May, u say May 3rd... i guess its just habit, but yeah the most international format is date month year, my husband is from egypt and this is how he does it too!
