Which mexican holiday destination would you suggest?

Ensenada

Rosarito

We will be spending 3-4 nights and plans are to Sun bake, swim, eat and drink and go out! There will be 3 of us and we are 21yr old Aussies!

Also is Cancun and cabo heaps more expensive?

Any advice will be helpful!

i'd say cabo and cancun are better, but yes they are also more expensive.

If you're looking for a place to party then Cancun would definately be the place to do it.  I've only been to Cancun and Cabo, but I've heard that Ensenada is a little bit run down.  Cabo is alot smaller and there isn't as much to do as there is in Cancun.

Look up info on Plya del Carmen because it is in the general area.Love it ! Book an all inclusive for sure. Can't beat it. Cabo is small and do not have the lovely beaches to lie on.Cancun has more clubs in town if that is what you want.There are clubs in plya del carmen as well, just not as big.The earlier you book the better price you should get.Have fun!

Check out Playa Del Carmen instead of Cancun (unless you are looking to party). PDC is more affordable, has lots of great restaurants, and lots of beaches.

I would recommend staying at the Aventura Mexicana Hotel. A block off the main shopping street in a quieter area, yet not too far from all the action.

One thing to know, if you exchanging money at the little stands that are all over the place, make sure that your money doesn't have any rips or tears before you leave the stand. Inspect all money given to you after an exchange. If there are any tears, it is no longer considered legal tender. Tell them right away that you noticed. They try to do this to tourists who they think will walk away without thinking, and then pocket the legal tender themselves. Usually, it's only on the smaller bills.
