I just recieved a Belkin recorder for my iPod, and I love it, except that you can hear the clicking in the background made by the iPod. What microphone would be best to put into the 3.5mm jack? I would like a relatively inexpensive (under 25$) and one of medium quality. I've looked at the Boom microphone by Cyberguys! I like it because it is flexible and really cheap. Is this a good buy, or will it die on me in the middle of my podcast?

  1. It won't die on you, but it might sound crappy from day one. Ask to try this one before you buy it, if at all possible. Or ask them to email you an MP3 sample.

I use the VoiceMemo mic with my ipod nano 1st-gen. It was $65.00 but the sound quality is excellent. Unfortunately you may have to choose whether you want a good price, or good quality.
