Practically speaking, they are all about the same.  So, don't spend a fortune on a a microwave. Go to Walmart or Target and get a medium sized one.  It will cost between $60 and $100.  If it doesn't come with a microwave cookbook, buy yourself one so that you can get the most out of your microwave.

I spent $100 for mine about 9 years ago.

I bought my son a similar one about 3 years ago.  It cost me $40 on sale.
