I have borrowed an excellent answer from Brother Al Gore who flunked 12 of 12 bible college classes at Vanderbilt University (perfect attendence ttthough). Jesus would have turned fishes into rechargeable batteries and loaves into solar power jack-asses except their wasn’t much call for carbon traders back then.

  1. Conservatives blame sea lions for the decline of fish but, but,,, BUT, WHEN EUROPEANS FIRST CAME HERE THERE WAS PLENTY OF BOTH,  SO HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT? HUH? I MEAN IF THERE WERE PLENTY OF SEA LIONS 5OO YEARS AGO THEN THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN VERY LITTLE FISH, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE WAS IT? NO,

LOS ANGELES - A fisherman who admitted stabbing a sea lion that apparently took bait from his fishing line was sentenced Thursday to three years of probation.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Carla Woehrle also ordered Hai Nguyen, 25, of Garden Grove, Calif., to serve 200 hours of community service. He had faced up to one year in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Nguyen pleaded guilty in November to a misdemeanor count of illegally taking and attempting to kill a marine mammal, admitting that he violated the federal Marine Mammal Protection Act. He said he meant to scare the sea lion away but never intended to kill it.

Nguyen was arrested in July in Newport Beach after witnesses told police they saw him stabbing the 6-foot-long sea lion with a steak knife. The animal was taken to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, where staff found the knife had pierced the sea lion's heart. It was later euthanized.

Nguyen's attorney, Robert Viefhaus, said his client regrets the incident and felt the verdict was fair.

  2. Interesting comparison however how about this,  Jesus sacrificed his life for the people,  it would seem today certain leaders will sacrifice people for their legacy.

  3. The miracles in the bible tend to have fairly mundane explanations.

13 vagrants invite themselves to a wedding, after a while the servants tell them that the wine has run out and the remaining bottles stored in the wine cellar are actually full of water.  'Bring them here' the leader says and sure enough they full of the best wine these impoverished fellows have ever tasted.

It's a miracle his followers say, either he turned the water into wine, or we've scored the hosts prize stash of booze - either way it's still a miracle.

  4. Let’s be fair. It’s not environmentalists that encourage ethanol production from corn, but the powers that be (the Bush administration, agribusinesses, energy corporations…).

  5. Mor biblical? Jesus ofcourse! But, I mean, they are both, I don't know...cool!

    -Mally :D

  6. Turning food into gas, just means theres less food

  7. The miracle for the wind is truly a miracle

  8. It's not the environmentalists my friend that are wanting our food changed to gasoline, unless it is maybe a waste product. Corn based ethanol is one of the biggest green washing scams to have every hit Washington. It only supports already well to do farmers and the sickeningly rich agribusinesses.

One possible beneficial typically non food source could be algae bio fuel. This is a fuel I believe the Israelis are developing. They claim they can feed the algae smokestack emissions to make it grow more rapidly. Also the fuel itself is ironically green. Bonus in my opinion.

It also might be Ok to use the highly efficient switch grass and the waste shaving of wood mills (digested by termites).

But the best use of bio-fuel in my opinion is Jatropha. It yields a fruit that is almost 40% oil and can grow in regions most other food crop will not.

  9. The country needs to begin having an "honest" conversation about the "costs and consequences" of ethanol regulations.

While most people are focusing on rising gas prices, world food prices are also soaring -- and those soaring prices are having a "devastating" effect on people.

Many people are now going hungry; and while there are a lot of reasons for the rising cost of food, ethanol mandates are a part of that and it is something that the Greenies need to think seriously about changing.

Reports suggests that bio-fuel production contributes to about one-third of the rising cost of food. As farmers switch crops in order to grow more corn for bio-fuel, that has a negative impact on the price of wheat and other grains. And the excess corn production does not enter the food market.

  10. Very nice!  Hmmm..   I would say the best miracle is Jesus turning the water to wine.  Although the enviros have turned everything to wine (bo ho) cry me a river....  just don't pollute it.  Turning the water to wine was Jesus' first miracle.  What was Al Gore's first miracle?  His first miracle was probably the fact that so many people went to see that bore me to tears made up movie.  Don't you think?

  11. I still think Algore rules for making global warming "real"even during record snows.

  12. The miracle here is so many people believing the theory.
